Tutor - Deidre Robbins
Deidre is an experienced dressmaking teacher, having taught in local colleges for many years. Deidre’s monthly dressmaking and home crafts class gives everyone of all abilities the opportunity to benefit from her knowledge and relaxed way of teaching.

Saturday Garment Making and Home Crafts
Whether you want to make cushions or skirts, this class will allow you to work on your own project at your own pace. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some skills you will be guided by Deidre to create projects that have a professional finish every time!

Course Requirements
You will be provided with a Husqvarna Viking sewing machine to use during the class.
Please note we cannot guarantee specific models.

Basic Sewing equipment to include:
Cutting out Scissors
Small paper scissors
Tape measure
Fabric Marker

If you already have a project in mind and have the fabric (and if required a pattern) then bring these with you. If you don’t have a project in mind the teacher will happy to help and advise you.

Dressmaking and patchwork fabrics are available to purchase in the shop, along with all your other sewing requirements with a 10% discount.

If you are attending a dressmaking class you will require a pattern. We stock all the pattern companies and the catalogues are in the shop for you to look at, our staff are happy to give advice if you are not sure. You may want to do this a few days prior to the course or come in a little earlier on the day.
