Solvy is a water soluble film topper, often used on lace embroidery designs and fabric that has a pile (e.g. terry towelling, fleece or felts) of any fabric that has depth (e.g. sweatshirt fabric) to prevent embroidery stitches from sinking into the fabric. It can also be used to give a better stitch quality when stitching fine woven fabrics such as silk, organza and viscose on an overlocker, stabilising the fabric to give flat, even stitching.

Instructions on use with an overlocker
• Place a thin strip (approximately 1 inch) on the edge of your fabric and stitch as normal
• Once stitched, you can gently tear the excess away, leaving some under the stitches. This will dissolve on washing or will disappear over time naturally.
