Shipping and Returns

Online and telephone orders within the UK

We charge just £4.00 post and packing on all UK orders under £20.00 and orders over £20.00 are shipped for free, both online and over the phone. This means that every sewing machine bought from Coles Sewing Centre is shipped within the UK for free!

Small parcels ship by Royal Mail Second Class post and large parcels ship via DHL or ParcelForce. Your tracking number will be emailed to you upon despatch.


International orders

We charge £25 for delivery to Europe and £45 for the rest of the world.


Collection and delivery for servicing & repair

We offer free collection and delivery of machines in the local Nottinghamshire region when you have a machine service or repair with Coles Sewing Centre, simply call us on (0115) 9881550 to make arrangements. If you prefer to drop off and collect your machine yourself then we have step-free access at our Lennox Street entrance and we are always happy to help you to your car with your machine.

If you don’t live locally then don’t worry, we offer collection and delivery via courier. We are able to arrange collection and delivery to suit you and we charge a nominal fee dependent on the number of boxes in the shipment (see below). This fee covers shipping costs and includes insurance, provided the item is packed adequately. Please note that if you are shipping an embroidery machine and its unit, these will need to be boxed up individually to ensure the safety of your machine in transit. We collect/deliver Monday-Friday only and labels will be provided by the driver to attach to your parcel.

One box: £25 each way
Two boxes: £35 each way
Three or more boxes: £45 each way

Delivery times

Please allow 28 days for any item posted by Royal Mail to arrive. If you have been provided with tracking details then please use DHL’s tracking system to track the progress of your parcel, simply go to and enter your tracking number. If you have any further queries then please email and we will look into it for you.



If you would like to return a product, you must notify us within 14 days of purchase that you wish to make a return. For full details of our returns policy, including items that are ineligible to be refunded, please see Section 12 of our Terms and Conditions..

Please ensure you return your items in the condition that they were sold, with all the original tags and labels. Pack your return items carefully to prevent damage in transit: always use a sturdy box or Jiffy bag and use plenty of padding inside to protect the contents. Seal the package with strong tape and attach the label to it, making sure none of the details are covered.
