Shipping and Returns

Online and telephone orders within the UK

We charge just £3.00 post and packing on all UK orders under £15.00 and orders over £15.00 are shipped for free, both online and over the phone. This means that every sewing machine bought from Coles Sewing Centre is shipped within the UK for free!

Small parcels ship by Royal Mail Second Class post and large parcels ship via DHL. Your DHL tracking number will be emailed to you upon despatch.


International orders

We charge a flat rate of £10 for delivery to Europe and £25 to the rest of the world.


Collection and delivery for servicing & repair

We offer free collection and delivery of machines in the local Nottinghamshire region when you have a machine service or repair with Coles Sewing Centre, simply call us on (0115) 9881550 to make arrangements. If you prefer to drop off and collect your machine yourself then we have step-free access at our Lennox Street entrance and we are always happy to help you to your car with your machine.

If you don’t live locally then don’t worry, we offer collection and delivery via courier. We charge a nominal fee of £25.00 each way and are able to arrange collection and delivery to suit you. This fee covers shipping costs and includes insurance, provided the item is packed adequately. We collect/deliver Monday-Friday only and labels will be provided by the driver to attach to your parcel.

Delivery times

We ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please be aware that due to the impact of COVID-19, delivery times can be increased due to the higher volume of parcels in the postal system. As such, please allow 28 days for any item posted by Royal Mail to arrive. If you have been provided with tracking details then please use DHL’s tracking system to track the progress of your parcel, simply go to and enter your tracking number. We offer a returns service in the UK at a cost of £8.00 via Clicksit. This involves printing your own returns label and taking your item to a nearby drop off point and can be used for sending in repairs as well as returns, or any other items. The main differences between this and our courier service is that your items will not be collected from your home, you must print your own labels and there is only very basic cover insurance cover.

To return an item via Clicksit, simply go to and enter your order number, email address and reason for return. You will then be provided with a returns label – print your label and attach it to your parcel so it covers the barcode of the original label.

Please ensure you return your items in the condition that they were sold, with all the original tags and labels. Pack your return items carefully to prevent damage in transit: always use a sturdy box or Jiffy bag and use plenty of padding inside to protect the contents. Seal the package with strong tape and attach the label to it, making sure none of the details are covered.

Take your parcel to any of the 7500 local stores offering the CollectPlus service. To find your nearest store visit The Storekeeper will scan your parcel label and give you a receipt, which you should keep as proof of postage until we have acknowledged receipt of your items. It includes a 7- character code which you can use to track your parcel online at
